A used EV could be your best move
Used electric cars are where the value is right now. The worry most people have is the battery, and the data is reassuring: Generational’s battery checks put the average used EV at around 95% of its original capacity, and even 8 to 9 year old cars average about 85%.
Before you buy any used EV, check four things:
- Battery health: ask for a battery health certificate, or get a check done yourself.
- Battery warranty: many makers cover the battery for about 8 years, so see how much is left.
- Charging speed: how fast it rapid-charges matters on long trips.
- Real winter range: not the brochure figure.
